About

Steph Douglas, MD, CSCS

Originally from Lexington, KY, Dr. Douglas earned a medical degree from Yale School of Medicine and completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis. She is a graduate of Stanford University’s PM&R sports medicine fellowship, where she worked closely with the Stanford varsity athletes as a team physician.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Douglas was a middle-distance runner for the Vanderbilt University Track & Field team. Drawing on her passion for athletic competition and ongoing performance improvement, she completed her USA Track & Field Level I Coaching Certification and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has particular expertise in running medicine but enjoys helping athletes of all levels and sports get and stay healthy so they can achieve their performance-oriented goals or simply live an active, pain-free lifestyle. Her experience as a Division I athlete informs her work with patients and clients, and she continues to train and race herself in the hopes that she still has some PRs ahead of her!

She lives in Palo Alto, CA with Humphrey the Labrador, who is a much faster runner than she is.
